* The number of plates within a given battery size determine reserve capacity. Reserve capacity is the number of minutes a battery at 26.7°C [80°F] can be discharged at 25 amperes and maintain a voltage of 10.5 VDC for a 12 VDC battery. Reserve capacity is aimed at a vehicle whose charging system is not functional and all electrical loads are running off of battery without aid of the alternator. Cold cranking amperes determines the length of time sustained cranking can occur.
**CCA ratings are based on two 12 VDC batteries in series.
A minimum of 9 VDC continuous, 6 VDC at engine cranking at the OEM connector is required to power up the ECM.
