The fuel drain lines contain low pressure fuel.
All engines have fuel drain lines as follows:
1 From the high pressure fuel pump
2 From the fuel pressure relief valve located in the fuel rail
3 From the injector return port in the cylinder head
Directions for service of a two-button quick-disconnect fitting:
Remove the quick disconnect style fuel lines by pressing in the locking tangs on both sides of the quick disconnect
fitting.
To aid removal, a screwdriver may be inserted between the fuel line end and the quick disconnect male union.
After pressing the opposing locking tangs, twist the flat blade of the screwdriver to help remove the fuel line.
Install the quick-d isconnect style fuel lines by pushing the quick-disconnect fitting onto the male union until it clicks.
A sealing washer is used on both sides of a banjo fitting.
NOTE: New sealing washers must be used when installing the banjo bolt fitting.
Torque Value: 24 Nโขm [ 212 in-lb ]
Rear gear train engines have fuel drain lines that contain quick-disconnect fittings.
This fitting can be disconnected to ease the removal of the fuel drain line.
