6.7L Cummins Injectors and Fuel Lines – Injector – Setup

Rear Gear Train

NOTE: Perform procedure 006-061 before continuing to check for leakage from the high pressure relief valve.
Refer to Procedure 006-061 in Section 6. If the high pressure relief valve fuel return flow measures 0, proceed
with procedure 006-026.
Fuel Rail Pressure Relief Valve Drain:
โ€ข Disconnect the quick connect (1) located in the drain line.
โ€ข Install the quick disconnect line, Part Number 4918434, onto the quick connect fitting line (2).
โ€ข Route the fuel rail drain hose, Part Number 4918434 with female fitting, into a graduated beaker, Part Number 3823705.
โ€ข Insert the fuel block-off tool, Part Number 4918464, into the quick connect fitting line (3).

NOTE: The fuel pump drain flow must be separated from the injector drain flow before collecting injector drain flow
data.
Fuel Pump Drain:
โ€ข Disconnect the OEM fuel drain line from the gear pump drain connection.
โ€ข Remove the flow-through banjo bolt from the drain connection eyelet.

Injector Drain Flow:
โ€ข Install the fuel drain hose, Part Number 3164618, into the eyelet and cap it off with Part Number 4918297,
(Part of kit, Part Number 4918295).
โ€ข Route the fuel rail drain hose into a graduated beaker, Part Number 3823705.

Fuel Pump Drain Flow:
โ€ข Install the fuel drain flow hose, Part Number 4918679 (1) or 4918296 (2), into the threaded drain connection.
โ€ข Route the fuel drain hose into a graduated beaker, Part Number 3823705.
