6.7L Cummins Injectors and Fuel Lines – Injector – Remove

For engines equipped with a rocker lever cover-mounted crankcase breather, the rocker lever cover gasket must
be completely removed in order to remove the injectors.
Refer to Procedure 003-011 in Section 3.
For engines equipped with a rear engine-mounted crankcase breather, disconnect the injector solenoid wires.

Remove the two injector hold-down capscrews and remove the injector hold-down clamp.
Use injector remover, Part Number 3823024, to remove the injector from the cylinder head.
NOTE: A small heel pry bar can also be used to pry up the injector. Pry up the injector hold-down flange (part of the
injector body just above the cylinder head casting).

With the injector removed, verify that the injector sealing washer is attached to the bottom of the injector. If the
injector sealing washer remained in the injector bore, it must be removed.
A double stacked or incorrect sealing washer can cause high-pressure fuel leaks and/or performance problems
because of incorrect injector protrusion.
