6.7L Cummins Injectors and Fuel Lines – Fuel Pressure Relief Valve – Setup

The purpose of this test is to check for a fuel rail pressure relief valve (1) that leaks excessive fuel to the fuel drain
(2) line.

Front Gear Train

Fuel Rail Pressure Relief Valve Drain: Isolation of the fuel rail pressure relief valve flow from the injector return flow
requires the use of the fuel rail pressure relief valve flow tester kit, Part Number 4918295.
Remove the banjo bolt from the fuel rail pressure relief valve. Install the fuel rail pressure relief valve fuel drain
hose onto the pressure relief valve using the banjo bolt supplied in the tester kit. Install the cap supplied in the
pressure relief valve tester kit onto the existing banjo, to cap off the pressure relief valve fuel drain line.
Route the fuel rail drain hose into a graduated beaker, Part Number 3823705.

Rear Gear Train

Fuel Rail Pressure Relief Valve Drain: Disconnect the quick connect (1) located in the drain line.
Install quick disconnect line, Part Number 4918434, onto the quick connect fitting line (2).
Route the fuel rail drain hose, Part Number 4918434, female connector, into a graduated beaker, Part Number
3823705.
Insert fuel block- off tool, Part Number 4918464, into the quick connect fitting line (3).
