Thoroughly clean all components with clean solvent.
Dry the parts with compressed air.
NOTE: If the plunger bore requires cleaning, remove the housing so as not to flush debris into the engine. Refer to
Procedure 007-003 in Section 7.
Inspect the plunger bore. Polished areas on the plunger and bore are acceptable.
Verify that the plunger moves freely in the bore. If the plunger does not move freely, remove the oil fi lter head
and inspect. Refer to Procedure 007-003 in Section 7.
