For front gear train engines, install the fan shroud support brackets and mounting capscrews.
Tighten the lower fan shroud support bracket mounting capscrews.
NOTE: Do not tighten the two upper fan shroud support bracket’s mounting capscrews at this time. Tighten the
upper fan shroud support bracket mounting capscrews after the fan shroud is installed.
Torque Value: 24 Nโขm [ 212 in-lb ]
NOTE: Make sure of fan tip clearance all the way around the inside of the fan shroud. Correct as needed.
NOTE: For some applications, the fan shroud is attached to the engine.
Install the fan shroud, refer to OEM service information.
