Lubricate the sealing a-ring on the EGR cooler coolant inlet line with assembly lubricant, Part Number 3163086,
for ease of installation to the EGR cooler coolant connection.
Insert the EGR cooler coolant inlet line into the EGR cooler.
Attach the EGR cooler coolant inlet support bracket assembly by wrapping it around EGR cooler body, as
shown, and inserting the mounting capscrews hand-tight only.
Install the EGR cooler coolant inlet fitting (1) and two new sealing washers into the EGR cooler coolant inlet tube, as
shown. It can be necessary to adjust the position of the support bracket before tightening.
Tighten the inlet fitting.
Torque Value: 35 Nโขm [ 26 tt-lb ]
Tighten the support bracket capscrews.
Torque Value: 24 Nโขm [ 212 in-lb]
