The low pressure fuel pump is located inside the DFCM assembly.
The low pressure fuel pump draws fuel from the fuel tank through the 10 micron primary fuel filter and pushes
it to the engine mounted fuel filter.
The fuel pump pressure relief valve is integral to the fuel pump and is not serviceable separately. The fuel pump
pressure regulator limits fuel pressure to 827 kPa (120 psi).
The low pressure fuel pump supplies approximately 3 times the maximum amount of fuel required for combustion. The excess fuel is used for lubrication and cooling of the high pressure fuel pump.
The IDS has a PID โFPL_CMD#โ to command the low pressure fuel pump on and off.
