6.7L Power Stroke – Engine Oil Temperature (EOT)


The EOT sensor is a 2 wire thermistor-type sensor. The PCM applies 5 volts to the EOT sensor circuit. The sensor
changes the internal resistance as engine oil temperature changes. The EOT sensor is used in operation of the cooling fan, VGT, and engine control plus diagnostics.
The EOT sensor signal allows the PCM to compensate for oil viscosity variations due to temperature changes
in the operating environment.
