1. Position the drive gear into the crankcase front cover. Install the high-pressure oil pump.

2. Position the drive gear onto the oil pump, and install the oil pump drive gear bolt and washer. See Fig. 80. Tighten oil pump drive gear bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
3. Position the Dial Indicator with Brackets (100-002, TOOL-4201-C), onto the oil pump drive gear, and check the drive gear backlash. See Fig. 83. If not within specification, replace the drive gear.
4. Install the high-pressure oil pump reservoir. See HIGH-PRESSURE OIL PUMP RESERVOIR.
