Delphi-Common Rail System – EEC V powertrain control module PCM PWM signal

a Fixed frequency
b Variable switch-on time
1 Signal voltage

The microprocessor transmits output signals to the actuators via specific output stages. The output signals for the actuators can also have different forms:
โ€ข Switch signals (switch actuators on and off, such as the A/C clutch),
โ€ข PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signals. PWM signals are square-wave signals with constant frequency, but variable switch-on time. Using these signals electro-pneumatic transducers, for example, can be actuated at any location (for example the boost pressure control solenoid valve or EGR solenoid valve).

The high-performance components for direct actuation of the actuators are integrated in the PCM in such a manner that very good heat dissipation to the housing is ensured.
