Remove the mounting fastener securing the exhaust gas pressure sensor tube to the EGR cooler mounting bracket.
Use compressed air to clean around the fittings where the exhaust gas pressure sensor tube connects to the exhaust
gas pressure sensor and the exhaust manifold.
Disconnect the exhaust gas pressure sensor tube from the exhaust gas pressure sensor mounting block and from the
exhaust manifold.
Remove the exhaust gas pressure sensor tube.
NOTE: For front gear train engines, the exhaust pressure sensor tube connects to the water outlet connection (not
shown).
For rear gear train engines, remove the capscrew securing the exhaust pressure sensor mounting pedestal
to the cylinder head. Remove the exhaust pressure sensor mounting pedestal.
For front gear train engines, the exhaust pressure sensor is mounted in the water outlet connection. To remove and
install the water outlet connection, Refer to Procedure 008-013 in Section 8.
