Cummins 4BT – Rear Crankshaft Seal

The rear crankshaft seal is mounted in a housing that bolts to the rear of the cylinder block. Double lipped Teflon seals are used. The sealing surface on the crankshaft must be clean and free of lubricating oil during instal­lation of the seal.

Cummins 4BT – Lubricating Oil Pan

A front sump, rear sump or center sump lubricating oil pan option may be used depending on the application. The mounting of the lubricating oil pick up tube will vary with the lubricating oil pan used.
