1. Use a NEW “O” ring seal to position the water thermostat in the upper intake manifold. 2. Install the thermostat housing. See Fig. 131. Install the thermostat housing bolts. 1. Partially drain the cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from        the thermostat housing. 2. Remove the thermostat housing bolts and remove the thermostat housing. See Fig. 131. Remove the thermostat and “O” ring seal. Discard the “O” ring seal.
