1. Place the cam plate on the surface plate. 2. Use a feeler gauge of 0.3 mm (0.012 in.) thick for judgement of the cam plate flatness. Measure the flatness diagonally at more than four locations. 3. If the measurement exceed the allowable limit, replace it.
